Toxic Romance by Shashank Naidu is a 3 x 4 ft watercolor on canvas, capturing the intensity of love turned destructive.

Inspired by the film Darr, the artwork portrays Mr. Tiger and Leela the Lioness locked in a relentless cycle of passion and chaos. A heated argument escalates to the point where they pull out their guns, ready to end each other—yet neither can walk away. They are bound by a love that is both consuming and inescapable. Can’t live together, can’t live without each other—trapped in an endless loop of toxic devotion.

 

About the Artist //

Shashank Naidu, aged 28, hails from Hyderabad but spent his formative years in Assam, where his deep connection with nature was fostered. His upbringing in two contrasting landscapes has instilled in him a unique perspective that reflects in his artwork.An avid lover of both nature and the urban lifestyle, he finds inspiration in the mix of these diverse worlds. His passions for food, travel, fantasy, and fiction further enrich his creative process, resulting in artwork that resonates with viewers on multiple levels.

 

Artistic Style: Shashank’s artistic style is deeply rooted in Impressionism, characterized by bold strokes and a play with light and shadows.
